Professional, licensed security personnel working on key dates throughout the year. Aiming to get members of the public home safely from the city centre after a night out.

What is the project:

In partnership with Cambridge Business Against Crime (CAMBAC) Taxi Marshals operate every pay day weekend (10pm - 3am) and other ‘high risk’ weekends identified throughout the year.  They operate at the St Andrews Street Rank and are there to ensure the taxi rank operates in a safe manner.

Taxi Marshals carry CAMBAC radios which links them into venues in the city. They are well-placed to support vulnerable people leaving Cambridge at the end of the night.

Who does it benefit:

The Taxi Marshals help not only the users of the taxis get home safely, but also helps the taxi drivers and the licensed venues.

Project Status:

Operating on pay day weekends and other strategically chosen dates throughout the year

How do you get involved:

The Taxi Marshal project is delivered by CAMBAC and Cambridge BID.  For more information please email Business Crime Manager at manager@cambac.co.uk
