Cambridge Business Improvement District (BID) is a collaboration of 1,200 businesses, working together to promote and improve the city. This is achieved through a range of projects under three themes: Welcome & Experience; Connect & Support and Safe & Clean.

Key projects include the Cambridge City Ambassadors, Visit Cambridge project delivery, the Love Cambridge Gift Card, our city-wide Christmas lights programme, Purple Flag accreditation, the Love Cambridge summer film nights, additional street cleaning, our Mystery Shop programme and delivering projects to engage the office sector.  

A Third BID term was successfully voted for in November 2022 ensuring project delivery until March 2028.

Do you have a passion for Cambridge and love helping others? We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our vibrant team as Cambridge BID Ambassadors! 

Positions available: Full-Time & Part-time Seasonal 1st April – 31stOctober

Hours: 9am-5pm, 37.5 hours a week, flexible over 7 days

Location: Cambridge City, primarily at Station Place and the busy city centre.

Salary: £12.80 per hour.

What You'll Do:

• Greet and assist visitors with your expert knowledge of the city.

• Promote local cultural events, shopping spots, and attractions.

• Work at key city locations, enhancing the visitor experience.

• The face of Cambridge, helping to create memorable experiences.

• Engaging with local businesses and contributing to exciting city projects.

• In a dynamic role with seasonal activities and events.
