2019

Thank you to all of you who attended our very successful Summer Business Event and AGM on 18th July, 2019 at Jesus College.

Our CEO Ian Sandison showcased the projects Cambridge BID have been delivering during the first year of our second term. Springboards's Insights Director Diane Wehrle presented on retail trends in Cambridge and across the UK. We also heard from Sally-Ann Wilkinson and Ruth McAllister from Wild in Art who updated on Cows about Cambridge, and how the art trail will bring together the whole city community and benefit the high street.

2018

The Cambridge BID Summer Business Event and AGM took place on Thursday 12th of July at The DoubleTree by Hilton on Granta Place.

Speakers and panel members included:

  • Jonathan Burnett, from Springboard discussing how Cambridge is doing compared to the national footfall picture

  • Cllr Lewis Herbert, Leader of Cambridge City Council, Vice Chair of Greater Cambridge Partnership and Board member of Cambridge and Peterborough Combined Authority

  • Roger Allen, Centre Manager of Lion Yard Shopping centre and BID Board Member.

  • Ian James, General Manager of the University Arms Hotel opening on August 1st 2018.

2017

The Cambridge BID Summer Business Event and AGM took place on Tuesday 20th June 2017 at The Pitt Building, Trumpington Street. “Investing in our Evolving City”  incorporated an overview of the activity of Cambridge BID in 2016/2017 and an insight into how our work will benefit city centre businesses over the year ahead.

2016

The Cambridge BID Summer Business Event and AGM took place on Tuesday 28 June 2016 at the Hilton Cambridge City Centre Hotel. The evening started with registration and drinks reception from 6.30pm. Presentations started at 7.00pm and were finished by 8.30pm.

The evening was a great opportunity to hear about the work we have carried out over the year, our plans for 2016/17, as well as the chance to hear from other prominent speakers on topics affecting our city today, footfall, congestion and the changing face of the High Street.

Our popular networking session with wine and canapés closed the evening, giving the opportunity to meet with some of the speakers and other Cambridge businesses.

2015

Our previous annual general meeting was held at Cambridge City Hotel on the 18th June 2015. “Building on strong foundations: the role of business in shaping our city” gave businesses and organisations a unique opportunity to hear from a number of key Cambridge individuals on issues affecting our city from a business perspective.
