Love Cambridge Restaurant Week will be returning to the city from Monday 14th – Friday 25th March 2022, to celebrate the city’s extensive food offer.

From tomorrow (Thursday 24th) pretty much all Covid restrictions will be lifted and we will be encouraged to return to a normal life as we adapt to live with this disease.

Cambridge BID are holding a series of workshops to help shape your city centre as we look to the future and shape our third Term from 2023 -2028

Mill Road bridge closed in June 2020 with no consultation, since we were locked down traffic was quiet, but as the city opened up then congestion grew on other roads like Coldhams Lane and Hills Road, subsequently air quality fell in those areas.

Following a bumper December Cambridge BID is delighted to announce that over £100,000 worth of Love Cambridge Gift Cards were issued in 2021 – that is over £100,000 that has to be spent within the BID area, in person, in participating businesses.

Cambridge saw a 12% drop in weekly footfall last week and is suddenly much quieter than we would usually expect at this time of year. As I speak to many hospitality businesses they are seeing a high number of cancellations of dinners, parties and overnight stays.

Cambridge BID is looking for creative people to design and create a Window Wanderland display that will light up the ground floor windows of Office blocks on Station Road.

Cambridge BID is delighted to be able to offer 10 businesses (located within the BID area) the opportunity to have their current digital presence reviewed for FREE.

The announcements of last weekend suggest we may again be on the Covid merry go round, although sadly we can’t turn back time.

Independent research into the impact of this summer’s Cows about Cambridge sculpture trail has found that the initiative delivered a direct economic benefit of £12.8 million for the city, with a GVA (Gross Value Added) of £5.95 million.
