What is the project?
Delivered in partnership with the City Council, the Night Market & Cinema Nights were designed to animate what is usually a quiet, unused space at night, the Market Square. The City Council work with the Market Traders to ensure there is a retail/Food & Beverage offer on the night and Cambridge BID deliver the cinema screen element of the project
Who does it benefit?
These events benefit the local economy by providing an event for hundreds of people that wouldn’t naturally be in the area. Cambridge BID businesses are offered a stall on the market for free for the evening which gives them the opportunity to put them in front of a new audience.
2019’s dates and films are as follows:
24th May: Coco and Mamma Mia
21st June: Peter Rabbit and Mamma Mia Here We go Again
25th July: Incredible 2 and The School of Rock
