What is the project:

The King Street Mural is a major new public art commission led by Cambridge BID in partnership with renowned street art collective Graffwerk. Spanning 45 metres along King Street, the mural has transformed one of Cambridge’s most characterful streets into a vibrant celebration of creativity, community, and local identity.

Delivered as part of Cambridge Arts Festival 2026, the project has been made possible with the generous support of Sidney Sussex College, who have granted permission for the use of the wall.

The mural is a temporary addition the public realm, for a minimum 12-month period.

Who does it benefit:

This project benefits Cambridge residents, visitors, and local levy-paying businesses alike. For levy payers, the mural supports BID objectives by enhancing the public realm, increasing footfall, and driving positive perception of King Street and the wider city centre as a vibrant, creative destination.
