At the start of July, the team were delighted to welcome 14-year-old Scout to join our marketing team for a day of work experience. With a fresh perspective and creative eye, Scout was tasked with capturing content from her own point of view, highlighting Cambridge as a vibrant city of destination and opportunity.
From the moment she arrived, Scout rose to the challenge with enthusiasm and grace. She explored the city, developed a clear filming plan, and experimented with new styles of video editing… all in just one day!
Here’s what Scout had to say about her experience:
“I enjoyed walking round and exploring Cambridge, and seeing spaces I had never seen or experienced before. It was very interesting and actually quite relaxing! As I don’t normally plan my videos I improved my planning and research which helped me when it came to filming because it meant I had a guideline and list of what I wanted to cover in my video. I wish I had more time to create more videos like this, however I got to have a go at a new style of editing and filming which I haven’t practiced before. Thanks for having me Cambridge BID!”
