On Thursday 1st October, Cambridge BID hosted its Annual Showcase and AGM at the Hilton Cambridge City Centre Hotel.
We would like to thank everyone who joined us, we had a great turnout, and it was lovely to see so many of our businesses and partners there.
The evening began with networking over drinks and canapes before heading in for two presentations. The first presentation was delivered by Stephen Patterson, Chair of the National BID Steering Committee, who provided valuable insight into the growing importance of Business Improvement Districts across the UK and why strong collaboration between businesses is more important than ever.
Our Chief Executive, Maria Manion then went on to reflect on Cambridge BID’s journey so far and celebrated the achievements from the past year. Maria also spoke about the exciting vision for the future of Cambridge BID. Guests also had the opportunity to answer live questions around Cambridge during this portion of the evening which enabled us to gather feedback about the city whilst guests were able to engage with the presentation in real-time.
We would like to take a moment to thank the Hilton Cambridge City Centre Hotel for hosting us for the evening and supporting our event.
Su from The Cambridge Calligrapher also joined us during the networking part of the evening for a Wax Seal workshop which was thoroughly enjoyed by our guests. You can find out more about Su and her workshops here.
We hope all guests found it an insightful and informative evening.
