Shape the future of Greater Cambridge

Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council are working together to prepare the very first joint Local Plan for Greater Cambridge. The Local Plan will shape how our area grows over the next 20 years. It aims to make sure new development happens in the right places, in a way that works for both people and the environment.

After receiving thousands of comments from the previous stage of consultation, they are now consulting on the plan for the final time before it is submitted for independent examination.

Consultation runs from 9am on Monday 3 August to 5pm on Friday 25 September 2026
