Cambridge BID Visits Addenbrooke’s to Learn More About the Plans for the New Children’s Hospital

Cambridge BID, the Business and Development Partner for Panda Meander, was recently invited by the team at Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust to learn more about their plans for a new children’s hospital in Cambridge.

Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust is working to raise vital funds towards the development of a new state-of-the-art children’s hospital, which will provide dedicated facilities and specialist care for young patients and their families. As part of their fundraising efforts, the Trust is also organising the Panda Meander Art Trail, which will be coming to Cambridge in 2027.

During our visit, the team were given a tour of the children’s ward currently operating within the hospital. This provided an opportunity to see first-hand the facilities available to young patients and learn more about the treatment, care and support currently provided to children and their families.

We were then shown the site where the new children’s hospital will be built, giving us a chance to understand the scale of the project and the exciting plans for the future. Following the site visit, we attended a presentation which provided further insight into the development process, the vision for the new hospital and how the new facilities will operate once completed.

It was an incredibly insightful experience and helped us to better understand the importance of the new children’s hospital and the positive impact it will have on children and families across Cambridge and the wider region.

We are delighted to be supporting the Panda Meander trail, it will not only bring colour, creativity and excitement to Cambridge, but will also help raise awareness and funds for an incredibly important cause.
