Professional, licensed security personnel working on key dates throughout the year, helping members of the public get home safely after a night out.

What is the project:

n partnership with Cambridge Business Against Crime (CAMBAC), Taxi Marshals operate every pay day weekend (10pm–3am) and during other identified high-risk periods throughout the year. Based at the St Andrew’s Street taxi rank and Rose Crescent taxi rank, they ensure the rank is managed safely and efficiently.

Taxi Marshals carry CAMBAC radios, connecting them directly with licensed venues, CCTV, police and other night-time partners. They are well-placed to support vulnerable people as they leave the city at the end of the night.

Who does it benefit:

Taxi Marshals support the safe movement of people leaving the city at night. They benefit:

• Members of the public using taxis

• Taxi drivers operating in busy periods

• Licensed venues, by improving the safe dispersal of customers
